Customer service numbers for every Irish mobile network

Every Irish mobile network has its own number, chat and complaints line, and two of them have no customer care phone at all. This page lists, for 12 brands, the numbers and chat hours each publishes on its own site, how to call from abroad, how to complain, and the voicemail numbers, so you can reach the right people the first time.

How do you contact each Irish mobile network?

The table gives each brand's customer care numbers with their opening hours, its live chat, and its complaints line, as each brand publishes them on its own pages. Numbers marked "from your mobile" are short codes that only work from that network's own SIM. Brand names link to our page on switching from that provider.

Which networks have no customer service phone line?

GoMo and 48. GoMo's code of practice says its care team "can be contacted through webchat by clicking the chat icon", and 48 asks customers to use the message icon on its site. Both do list a freephone line for complaints. Sky Mobile's Irish help pages did not show a phone number when we checked.

GoMo's own launch announcements described it as "a fully digital brand" with no shops or call centres. Its webchat runs Mon–Fri 9:00–19:00; Sat 9:00–17:30; Bank holidays 10:00–17:00; its complaints line, 1800 223 212, runs Mon–Fri 9:00–17:30. 48's chat runs Mon–Fri 9:00–21:00; Sat–Sun 9:00–20:00, with a chatbot at other times; its complaints freephone is 1800 825 848.

Clear Mobile's help pages point only to live chat, but its complaints code lists 1800 11 11 29 for first contact and for complaints. Sky's complaints page offers WhatsApp and text messages on weekdays and an online form; its phone panel showed no number.

What short codes can you call from your own mobile?

eir uses 1901 for bill pay and 1747 for prepay; Vodafone uses 1907 for bill pay and 1747 for pay as you go; Three uses 1913; Tesco Mobile 1903; Lycamobile 1923; Virgin Media 1908. They work from that network's own SIM. eir says 1901 is free to call, and Three calls 1913 a freephone.

From another network or a landline, use the full number where one is published: Tesco Mobile's 089 420 0000, Lycamobile's 01 437 2322, An Post Mobile's 0818 789 789, or Vodafone's 01 203 7777 for callers from other networks, charged at normal rates.

Opening hours differ widely. eir's phone lines are open Mon–Fri 9:00–17:30; Vodafone's Mon–Fri 8:00–20:00; Weekends and bank holidays 9:00–18:00; Three's Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00; Sat 9:00–17:00; Bank holidays 9:00–17:00, closed on Sundays; Tesco Mobile's Mon–Fri 8:00–20:00; Weekends and bank holidays 9:00–18:30.

How do you call your network from abroad?

Use the international number, because Irish short codes do not work from a foreign network. eir lists +353 1 766 2599 for bill pay and +353 1 766 2037 for prepay; Vodafone +353 1 203 8232; Three +353 83 333 3333; Lycamobile +353 1 437 2322; An Post Mobile +353 1 705 7700; Virgin Media +353 1 245 8000.

Tesco Mobile lists no separate number for calling from abroad on its contact page, but its code of practice lists a free roaming line, 1743. Short codes such as 1913 or 1903 generally reach your provider only on its own network, so check the international number before you travel.

Which networks have live chat, and when is it open?

Most do. Three's chat agents work Every day 7:00–24:00, with a chatbot at other times, and Tesco Mobile's live chat runs Every day 7:00–21:00. GoMo, 48 and Clear Mobile run chat as their main channel. An Post Mobile lists phone and email but no chat.

Vodafone's chat has live agents Mon–Fri 8:00–20:00; Weekends and bank holidays 9:00–18:00, after its TOBi assistant. Clear Mobile's live chat is open Mon–Sat 10:00–18:00, including bank holidays, and points to its social media channels outside those hours. Lycamobile's assistant, LIA, answers around the clock, with a live chat option; eir offers EVA, a virtual assistant on its help pages, and online forms for common requests.

Three also takes email at [email protected], and An Post Mobile at [email protected]. Lycamobile answers email at [email protected], and says replies can take five to seven working days.

How do you make a complaint to your mobile network?

Use the provider's complaints channel and say clearly that it is a complaint. Each provider publishes a code of practice for complaints. ComReg's rules require an acknowledgement within two working days and a response within ten. If the provider does not resolve it, ComReg's consumer care team can take it up, free of charge.

Complaints lines from the codes of practice: eir 1800 303 455 (Mon–Fri 9:00–17:30); GoMo 1800 223 212 or [email protected]; 48 1800 825 848 or [email protected]; Tesco Mobile 1903 or [email protected]; Clear Mobile 1800 11 11 29; Lycamobile 1923 or [email protected]. Vodafone takes complaints by chat or on 1907, with escalations to [email protected]; Three and Virgin Media use their care lines, 1913 and 1908.

Keep the reference number, the dates and what was said. ComReg expects you to complain to the provider first; its consumer care pages explain how to contact it: comreg.ie ↗.

What is the voicemail number on each network?

171 on eir, Vodafone, Three, GoMo and Tesco Mobile: call it from your own mobile to listen to messages. From another phone, eir, Three and GoMo let you dial your own number with a 5 after the prefix, for example 085 5…, then enter your PIN. Vodafone uses 172 to change your greeting.

Tesco Mobile says to dial 171 and press 1 in Ireland, and from abroad to dial 089 430 2000, then your mobile number and your voicemail PIN. GoMo explains how to turn voicemail off: dial ##002#. 48, Clear Mobile, Virgin Media, An Post Mobile, Lycamobile and Sky did not show a voicemail number on the pages we checked.
